His addition allows us to expand our services, so you can receive extractions and soon, dental implants right here at Chambers Dental—no need to visit another office. This means more of your care can be provided in the same trusted, familiar setting by a team you know. Your safety and that of the team continues to be our top priority.
To ensure the safest environment we can achieve, several engineering controls have been installed. These surpass any required facility changes. To capture, clean and remove air in each treatment room we are using the following:
- medical-grade HEPA filtration units installed chairside (continuously cleaning the air)
- high volume exhaust fans creating negative pressure (continuously moving room air outside)
- additional suction / aerosol capture devices used in the mouth during procedures that produce aerosols
- Additional air cleaning is achieved with HEPA filters in the central HVAC system and an additional medical-grade HEPA filtration unit with UV-C disinfection.
We continue to follow CDC, American Dental Association and State of Michigan recommendations for infectious disease protocols. Currently no additional protocols are required in the dental office. The mask requirement has been lifted.
