Root canals are available in our office in certain cases. For situations where an endodontist is required, patients are referred to a practice that suits their specific needs.
Treatment usually consists of scaling and root planing – a technique that removes harmful deposits on the teeth below the gum line and reducing bacteria. For advanced cases of periodontal disease multiple visits are required. In some cases bacterial testing may be recommended for targeted antibiotic therapy. Excellent home care and regular maintenance visits are critical to successful disease treatment.
